Terms of Service

The short version

By using Split Your Plans, you agree to use the app responsibly, be honest with your trip group, and understand this is a beta product. We provide tools to plan and split trips — you're responsible for the content you add and the money you agree to split with others.

Using the app

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You agree not to use the app for anything illegal, abusive, or fraudulent.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the expenses and trip content you add.

Splitting expenses

Split Your Plans helps your group track and split costs, but the app doesn't move money. Any actual payments between group members happen outside the app. We're not a bank, a payment processor for transfers, or a party to any agreement between you and your trip members.

Premium & payments

Some features require the "Adventure Pass" upgrade ($2.99 CAD, one-time, lifetime). Payments are processed by Stripe. One-time purchase. All sales are final once Premium is activated, except where required by applicable law. If you were charged incorrectly or more than once, or Premium cannot be accessed after payment, contact support for assistance. Each Adventure Pass is tied to the buyer’s individual account and cannot be gifted, shared, or transferred to another user.

Your content

You own the trip content you create. By adding someone to a trip group, you confirm you have their permission to share their name and contributions with the other members of that group.

We may remove content or accounts that violate these terms or that we believe are abusive or fraudulent.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and in beta. We work hard to keep your data safe and the app reliable, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Under no circumstances are we liable for lost money, missed bookings, or disputes between group members.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll keep the "last updated" date accurate and be transparent about material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
