Privacy Policy

The short version

Split Your Plans is a tool to plan, split, and remember trips with your crew. We collect the data you put into your trips — names, dates, expenses, notes, and uploaded files — because that's what makes the app work. We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address and name, used to create and sign you into your account.
• Trip content: the trips, itinerary items, expenses, notes, comments, and votes you and your group add.
• Uploaded files: receipts and booking confirmations you upload so the app can read and organize them for you.
• Feedback: ratings and comments you choose to submit through the in-app feedback form.

How we use it

• To show your trips and let your group split costs and plan together.
• To send in-app notifications about your trips (new expenses, reminders, member joins).
• To run AI features like reading a receipt or confirmation you upload.
• To improve the product and fix bugs.

Who sees your data

Your trip content is visible to the members of that trip's group. We don't sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties, and we don't use third-party advertising trackers.

We use service providers to operate the app: our hosting and database platform (Base44), and Stripe for payments. Stripe handles your card details — we never see or store them. Each provider only receives what's needed to perform their job.

AI features

When you upload a receipt or booking confirmation, we send the file to an AI service to extract details like amount, date, and category so you don't have to type them. The file is processed to fill in your trip item and isn't used to build profiles about you.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete trip items, expenses, and trips from within the app.
• You can submit or skip the feedback form — it's optional.
• You can request deletion of your account from Settings.

We're in Beta

Split Your Plans is in active development. We'll update this policy if anything changes, and we'll be transparent about it. If you have questions about how your data is handled, reach out through the contact option in the app footer.
